We’re proud to share that Lisa has successfully defended her master’s thesis—on Valentine’s Day! While others were celebrating love, Lisa was passionately defending her work on prosthetic start-ups. Her thesis, titled Start-up Foundation for a Forearm Prosthesis, with a Focus on Analyzing the Needs of Prosthesis Wearers, marks a significant milestone in our journey.

Her research covered essential aspects of launching a prosthetic start-up, including company incorporation in Germany and Switzerland, global patent law, and medical device certifications in Switzerland, the EU, and the US. Understanding these legal and regulatory frameworks is crucial for ensuring SoftSocket’s future compliance and scalability.

A core component of Lisa’s thesis was the survey we conducted among over 100 prosthesis users worldwide. This data provided key insights into their experiences, needs, and challenges, further validating the necessity of improving prosthetic solutions for sports and daily life.

Lisa’s work has been instrumental in shaping the strategic direction of SoftSocket. Her deep dive into market needs and regulatory requirements lays a strong foundation for our next steps as we continue to develop innovative prosthetic solutions.

Congratulations, Lisa, on this major achievement!
