We are beyond thrilled to share that SoftSocket won the SDG Pitch Event organized by ETH4D, marking a huge milestone in our journey! This event, focused on building a sustainable future, brought together bright minds with impactful ideas, and we were honored to be part of it.

What made this pitch especially memorable was that it was our very first public pitch. With Lisa having another pitch scheduled at the exact same time, it was up to Cara to take the stage—supported by our amazing friend Lucas, who provided invaluable emotional support. Despite the nerves, we delivered our vision with passion, and it paid off!

The competition, hosted at ETH Zurich, aimed to highlight innovative solutions that align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Presenting SoftSocket in this context was a fantastic opportunity to showcase how our sports prosthetics can make an impact—by improving accessibility, affordability, and inclusivity in sports for people with limb differences.

After the pitch, we celebrated at the networking apéro, where Lisa was finally able to join in. Meeting fellow innovators, exchanging ideas, and getting valuable feedback from the jury and audience made the experience even more rewarding.

Winning this competition is not just a recognition of our idea—it’s a huge motivation to keep pushing forward. As part of our victory, we were also awarded 1,500 CHF, which will help us take the next steps in developing SoftSocket. A big thank you to ETH Zurich, the organizers, and everyone who supported us on this journey. We’re more determined than ever to bring SoftSocket to life and create a meaningful impact!

Stay tuned for what’s next!
